She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’s SDCC Trailer Confirms the Return of Daredevil

Marvel Studios released the brand new trailer for the upcoming Disney+ series, She Hulk: Attorney at Law. As Kevin Feige began laying down the road map of Phase 5 of the MCU, a new trailer released for the upcoming comedy series starring Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters delivered many talking points including the title character’s fourth-wall breaking, an extended appearance by Wong and the surprise arrival of Daredevil. Check out the trailer below.

The arrival of Jennifer Walters in the MCU has been one of the most anticipated Disney+ shows of the year. For that reason, it was not surprising to see so much interest in the first full trailers for the series, especially when it contained the first actual footage of Tatiana Maslany’s green giant in action. With that trailer pulling in huge numbers back in May, we now have a much better idea about where the show is heading and what to expect, including some returns that were not as expected as others.

While it was already known that Benedict Wong would be reprising his role as Wong, the new trailer suggests that his role will once again be more substantial than first thought. As the current Sorcerer Supreme, it is probably not surprising to see him turning up in various Marvel projects, although this time he does seem to be warning Jennifer of the world being in danger. With the show also seeming to suggest that there are going to be many new super-powered beings appearing, there could be any number of cameos to come when the series arrives next month. In the meantime though, one character that is now guaranteed to appear is Daredevil.

Charlie Cox Reprises His Role as Daredevil

A long standing rumor about the She-Hulk series was that her path would cross with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, and now that has been confirmed by the new trailer. While only appearing for a very brief moment in the last seconds of the trailer, it is certainly enough to get fans to look past their gripes about the appearance of She-Hulk and look to the bigger picture. With Daredevil’s own 18 part series being announced by Kevin Feige at SDCC, and the character also rumored to be appearing in Echo, Charlie Cox’s returning character is certainly being integrated to the MCU quickly and efficiently since his Spider-Man: No Way Home appearance.

As for She-Hulk, Daredevil’s appearance is just one of the many connections that the series seems to have to the wider MCU. Obviously the biggest of these, in more ways than one, is Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as the Hulk, and there is a lot more footage of him in the new trailer, but it still hasn’t answered the question of how Ruffalo appeared as Banner rather than Hulk in the post credit scene of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, and considering he seems to living somewhere off grid in the trailer, with the full use of his arms, the theory that this series takes place before the events of Avengers: Endgame could yet prove to be correct.

All will be revealed when She-Hulk: Attorney at Law arrives on Disney+ next month.
