She-Hulk And Daredevil Are Best Friends, Says Tatiana Maslany

She-Hulk: Attorney At Law got a brand-new trailer at the San Diego Comic-Con 2022, featuring cousins Bruce Banner and Jennifer Walters navigating the latter’s newfound powers and adjusting her into her superhero life. The trailer showed how Jennifer Walters’ She-Hulk would become the face of her firm’s new legal counsel division, dedicated to cases associated with superheroes. We saw Maslany in her seven-foot-tall persona, being proactively good at being a kick-ass superheroine as if it comes to her naturally. But, amidst Emil Blonsky and Wong, the best surprise in the trailer was right at the last moment of it.

The trailer featured a glimpse at Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, donning a new costume and his signature sticks. Charlie Cox returns to MCU after his debut in Netflix’s Daredevil, continuing his role after his cameo appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. There are still ten episodes of She-Hulk that’ll determine Matt Murdock’s significance to this story, but Maslany has shared that Murdock and Walters will share a friendly bond being two effective attorneys at law.

We’re best friends. Besties!

This means that the two will probably share some great moments in the courtroom and out in the streets in their superhero persona. Speaking to ComicBook.com, showrunner Jessica Gao also shares some updates regarding the show’s two notable appearances: Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock and Benedict Wong’s Sorcerer Supreme Wong. Unlike other origin stories, Gao stated that being Bruce’s cousin, Jennifer has always been surrounded by superhero stories, existential threat events, and other associated stuff. After Jennifer Walters becomes She-Hulk, it would be as if a third-party family member is now pushed to the front of all of this.

Well, obviously, what Jen has in common with Matt Murdock is that they’re both lawyers, but also, uniquely, they’re both lawyers who happen to be superheroes, so they have that in common. Wong is a character that has existed in the MCU and knows her cousin. That’s the thing about Jen is that she, uniquely, unlike everybody else whose origin story we’re exploring, she is someone who has something like this in her family already. So conceivably, she’s already had to listen to and deal with all of this stuff as a third-party family member for years

Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is Set to Make a Grand Entry Into the MCU

Marvel Studios

Besides his role in She-Hulk, Charlie Cox will soon make his grand entry into the MCU. In the Hall H presentation at SDCC, Kevin Feige revealed that Daredevil’s story would be significant in the MCU’s Phase Five. For the first time, Marvel Studios is developing a television series with eighteen episodes for Disney+ centered around the character. Feige confirmed that Daredevil: Born Again will stream on Disney+ in spring 2024. In the show, Vincent D’Onofrio will also reprise his role as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.

Besides these two appearances, Charlie Cox is reprising his role (again along with D’Onofrio) in the upcoming Phase Five Disney+ original, Echo, starring Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez. Cox’s Daredevil is becoming a central character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after several speculations about his Netflix series becoming canon to the franchise. Heading into Phase Five, the stories in the MCU are expanding way more than expected. It would be exciting to see how Daredevil fits into this shared continuity, which now extends the boundaries of a singular universe.
