Scarlet Witch Kicks Major Butt in New Deleted Scene From Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

The Scarlet Witch stans are having a field day today. In a new deleted scene from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Scarlet Witch can be seen kicking some major sorcerer butt during the scene when she attacks Kamar-Taj.

The Multiverse of Madness fight coordinator Liang Yang, who is best known for portraying FN-2199 in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and who also coordinated stunts and fights on films such as Wonder Woman 1984 and The Marvels, posted on Instagram an extended behind-the-scenes look at a never before seen fight between Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a. Scarlet Witch, and Wong (seen in the clip is stunt double Lukaz Leong, who is one of the performers behind Wong’s battle scenes). Also battling Scarlet Witch in the honorific, probably R-rated fight is the Karmar-Taj trainees.

Yang’s Instagram post is captioned: “An extended sequence we created that was not included in the final edit of the battle between Scarlet Witch Kamar-Taj Warriors. Camera by: Liang Yang.” The post then went on to thank all the effects’ people (Johnny Gao, Adam Brashaw, Darylan McMurry, and Andrei Nazarenko) who worked on the clip and stunt performers (Nazarenko, Fizz Hood, Andy Lister, James Cox, James O’Daly, Lukaz Leong, Dacio Caballero, Karanja Yorke, and JP).

Scarlet Witch Stans Are Ready for the ‘Raimi Cut’

Marvel Studios

With horror legend Sam Raimi directing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel Cinematic Universe fans were introduced to an all-new, all-different side of the franchise inspired by the filmmaker’s Evil Dead past. Although Ashley J. Williams did not make an appearance in the Doctor Strange sequel, the film did deliver on Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige’s promise that Doctor Strange 2 “will make Evil Dead II fans very happy,” with numerous homages to the Raimi films.

Now, as if the fans are calling for Sony Pictures to have Raimi make the final film in his Spider-Man saga weren’t enough, Scarlet Witch fans (and fans of R-rated superhero action) are calling for Marvel to release the “Raimi Cut” of Doctor Strange 2, as well. On Twitter, fan accounts have reposted Yang’s video of the deleted stunt sequence, and a pretty common response has been: “release the #RaimiCut.”
