Marvel Studios may have delivered one of their darkest MCU movies to date with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but a newly released blooper reel has revealed that Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlett Witch is not quite as scary when having to fend off flying leaves and get to grips with her harnesses. After watching the intense movie, it is a change to see Olsen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong and Xochitl Gomez laughing and joking in this new behind-the-scenes footage that shows the filming of the movie had its fun moments despite the seriousness of the film.
The Sam Raimi-directed sequel saw Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange transported into the multiverse as he attempts to keep America Chavez (Gomez) from falling into the clutches of Scarlett Witch, who wants to use the newcomer’s powers to be reunited with her children in another universe. The storyline see’s Scarlet Witch’s formidable might in action as she chases down Strange and Chavez, destroying Kamar-Taj and taking down Earth-838’s Illuminati in the process. However, by the end of the movie, Wanda has regained a sense of what she has been doing and destroys not only the Darkhold, which has had her in its thrall but also appears to kill herself in the process.

When it comes to filming a serious movie, though, even death, destruction, and walking corpses cannot stop mistakes being made and moments being captured that definitely would not make it into the final cut. If they had, it would probably have ruined Scarlet Witch’s malevolent manner. You can check out the behind-the-scenes chaos in the video below.
